Probably the most under-estimated part of writing is taking a break. It is important to create distance between writing and proofreading to remain critical about what you just wrote. Just five minutes off should be enough to review your writing with a fresh pair of eyes. I personally like to watch an episode of one of my favorite tv-shows, such as "Two and a half men", which takes my mind of what I just. After that, I can review my writing more critically and thorough, so that I might discover errors i would not have noticed without a break.
